We have had another sunny day. Ben spent the morning fishing and caught quite a few fish.

Treats!!!

After lunch we went for a walk, bought an ice cream and then walked a long way along the beach. The beach was busy with lots of families enjoying beach activities.  There are also lots of sea birds walking around, who do not seem fazed by adjacent humans.

This evening Ben caught, what he says was his biggest fish ever. When we looked it up it was a red drum which is apparently delicious to eat. Liz had taken pity for it and wanted me to let it go. It was circa 3 feet long and v heavy and took ages to land.  Ben had to cut the line as the hook had been swallowed.  He reluctantly ended up throwing it back into the water.  When we checked the regulations re keeping fish to eat, which are very prescriptive, it turned out that the fish was too long to keep - so we did the right thing!!
